This blog topic came in on request. So here we go!
Everyday that we wake up we create plans. We create a plan for our day, an order, a list of activities, a list of locations, and goals. Most people would classify a good day as one that we are able to get our goals done while sticking to our list of activities and locations for the day and a bad day being one where we do not accomplish our goals or we are thrown off of our daily plan. While all of this is true it is not the sole determining factor of a good or bad day.
Everyday we wake up with these plans and everyday things will get in the way of those plans. These are what I look to refer to as our daily demons. More times than not, it has very little to do with the things around us and much more to do with our reactions to the things around us. Having a bad day is an active choice. So why do we choose to have bad days so often? Why do we concede defeat to our daily demons so easily? Why does that conversation with our parents that may not have been so pleasant have to lead us to being upset for the rest of the day? Why do we let that really stupid driver who shouldn't be on the damn road ruin a perfectly good Bruno Mars song? Why did you just judge me based off of me listening to a Bruno Mars song? haha Why do we let our days dictate our mood?
So all these questions right? Y'all want answers?
Check it out:
You can have a bad moment and not have a bad day. CRAZY RIGHT?? Think about it, how many times have you said to yourself "this just ruined my day". I know, I have said it myself countless times but its dumb as shit. Stop being a baby. Stop letting your day dictate your mood and let your mood/attitude dictate your day! If you feel that you are not up to the task.... YOU ARE ALREADY BEHIND!!! You are amazing people and I know you can do this! Stop doubting how amazing you are. Look your daily demons in the face and kick shit down their leg! If something starts ruining your day then conquer it. After that, take a minute to just smile. Your brain will think you want to be happy. Sounds really stupid but it works. If possible , look in the mirror while you do it. You'll most likely laugh at yourself and your mood will start to shift. Then get right back in the game and make some plays. Take control of every aspect of your life. Take responsibility for your own sadness, your own happiness, your own laziness, your own ambition. Take CONTROL!!!
I appreciate all of the wonderful feedback you all have given me it really helps keep me going. I am so glad to hear how many of you I help and I want you to know that so many of you are inspirations to me.
Love you all

The Hardest Person to Forgive.... Yourself
Welcome back friends!!! I promised I would get back to blogging and that's exactly what I am doing! I want to start off by shouting out all of my new friends from the cruise. I've been talking about writing more and all of you have inspired me to do so. So here I am back in the mix. I had so much fun drinking, dancing, acting acting a fool with all of you. My favorite part about cruising is meeting all of you lovely people and gaining even more understanding of the world around me.
It's been awhile since I've written so I have two topics for all you sweetasses out there . Topic 1: act like you are supposed to be here.
I met this kid on this cruise who was hanging out with his cousins who were a bit older than him and were always hitting the club with all of us. He was a little hesitant to go up and start talking to all the females in the club and whatnot so I gave him some knowledge which I wanted to share with you all . We were talking about how to just be more comfortable in your own skin. I told him that even though I'm a little chubby and very very hairy haha that I feel that I'm the coolest dude in any room at any time. I was going up to all of the gorgeous gals on the boat (hey Taylor hey meg!!) and all these guys were looking at me like yo how is this happening haha. I told him I'm comfortable being me, I know my worth, I know that I am an amazing human, and I know that others recognize that. This isn't about being cocky and arrogant. This is about loving yourself . People that are timid in conversation, worried about what others think, or people that are just rude are normally hiding their own self consciousness. I challenge you all to love yourself. Love yourself harder than you've ever loved a significant other, a family member, a friend. Love yourself with a passion! By doing this , you will begin to see a change in your attitude . Once the change in attitude happens you will start to see how the world opens up to you . Grab the shit out of your life people... love yourself... make your life into whatever you want ... because you can oh shit yeah you can .. because you are that awesome! You are the coolest cat in the room!!!
This leads me into topic #2 Forgiving yourself
In order to truly love yourself , to have that beautiful attitude adjustment I spoke of earlier, we must forgive ourselves for our mistakes. There have been years of my life that I spent hating myself. I hated myself for a multitude of reasons. I hated myself for letting my health fall by the wayside and being a fat mope, I hated myself for obsessing over females that were nothing but vampires to my happiness, I hated myself for not making my parents proud. I just hated myself. It took many years for me to forgive myself. It's not something you can do overnight . It is a process . With luck, people will pop into your life and remind you that you are this special and amazing human which will help you realize it but that's not always the case . Sometimes it means sitting down, writing out everything you are unhappy with in your life and the reasons why that is the case. Then you have to be honest with yourself . This is the toughest part of the whole process. Stop blaming others for where you are in life , using the past as a crutch. You need to realize that everyday you take actions for good and for bad. Those actions add up and create your life. Pretty simple premise. So with that understood, what are you going to do? Are you going to let your past mistakes corrupt your future? Why? Why is it that we are so willing to forgive others actions but when it comes to forgiving ourselves it seems so daunting? That's because the effect it has on our life is so much greater . When you spend time in dark places like I have it becomes a downhill snowball effect that just keeps getting darker and darker. Ain't nobody wanna live that way. You need to make peace with your past mistakes and make a personal choice to grow from them instead of letting them continue to dictate your life. I challenge each of you to dig deep and find that thing that is holding you back from being awesome . That mistake from your past that continuously changes the way you move through life for the worse and forgive yourself . Choose to grow or choose to rot away , the choice is yours. Trust me though, I know how amazing you are, the world sees you as such a special individual... it's about time you feel that way about yourself ..
I love you all... another entry to come tomorrow

You Cant Change the Past
First off, sorry that I haven't blogged much recently. It hasn't been for lack of want to I just felt that I needed to take a little break from it. I'm back! I have been doing great! My weight loss has leveled, however I have definitely lost a lot of fat. I feel stronger, my pants are all baggy, things are all going in the right direction! Although I miss eating all the junk food the world has to offer I feel great that I am actively changing my life for the better. I am proud of all of my friends and family who have begun to improve their own health and attitudes. Special shout out to my father, Rafael, who has lost 10 pounds the past 2 weeks by eating clean!! I had talked to him about it before and his "excuse" was that he had too much going on. I jokingly/seriously said to him "What does having too much going on have to do with eating that burger without a bun instead of with it". He gave me the oh shit you are right look and hasn't looked back! I am so very proud of everything my father does on a daily basis and I couldn't be more grateful to have such an amazing role model in my life. Best thing about my dad is, he isn't just my dad and a great role model but he is truly my best friend. Love you Pops!!!
So a good friend of mine let me borrow Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (A screenplay based on a new story by JK Rowling). First off it was amazing. I wont do any spoilers for those who have not had a chance to read it but man.... IT WAS AWESOME! So I finished reading it today and I wanted to talk about some of the themes in the book. One of the characters gets a hold of whats called a time turner. A time turner allows the user to go back in time. Simple enough. The problem is when they go back in time everything that they change can literally change the whole world , think butterfly effect. It had me thinking about my own life. It had me thinking about what if I had a time turner. What would I change? How would it change everything around me? Would I still have the same friends? Would I have the same job? What would change? As I began to travel down this rabbit hole I began to realize that this simply reinforces something that I have been trying to recognize daily. Everything we do has consequences both good and bad. If you missed a turn on the way to the mall, and it took you an extra 5 minutes to get there what would change? You would come across different people, maybe even a different employee at the store you decide to shop at, but everything, everything would be slightly different. So now lets step back and look at it with a decision that you actively make. I don't know about you, but for me, I have a fight with my snooze button....every morning.... without fail. By waking up just a little later than normal I then rush to get ready and I head into work. Since I left late I roll into work just 2 or 3 minutes late instead of 10 minutes early.... What does this change? For me I get a random assortment of calls and because of this delay my entire day is different. Maybe I would make more sales maybe less sales who knows, but it would be different.
OK, so most of you are probably wondering how this effects you. What if you smiled at that nice lady at the gas station instead of being angry she is taking too long at the register? She sees you smile and thinks to herself "I should text my dad and check in on him". So now her day is different, her dad's day is different, everything is different and you...yes you... were the cause. I challenge you all to make active and deliberate choices all day everyday. Realize that everything you do gives you an opportunity to change the world for good and for bad. By actively making choices you can create a positive world around you. So if you have a bad day at work leave it at work don't bring it home and allow it to change others paths. If you have a great day then spread it along, help build up others around you with your positive energy. Good vibes are the only currency you can deposit into a bank (the world) and withdraw more than you ever put in. We all have choices everyday and I urge each and everyone of you to make active positive choices. Lets Change the World!
Love yall!!

The Beginning: Well Because We Can't Count Days Forever
First off , apologies . I know I haven't written in a few days. Goes to show nobody is perfect haha. Honestly , nothing has really been going wrong. I just haven't felt productive these past few days. I haven't outright cheated and eaten completely shitty food but I haven't been as strict with my eating. I can feel it. Tomorrow it is back to the strict food habits and the daily goals. I want to continue to feel inspired to live everyday . I haven't had that same energy since probably Friday. Tomorrow I'm in my new program at work, have the gym afterward, and hopefully will finish Medici masters of Florence with my dad. I'm pretty excited for the day tomorrow! Now with all of that being said , i. Still had a pretty rad weekend. Spent the weekend at the beach with my family ! It was great to spend time with my nephews and my sister and her husband . We are all going on a cruise in two weeks so I'm pretty stoked . Well that's a recap/gameplan.
Today's topic: Stop Counting the Days
So you've made the decision to better your life? Awesome! So you've set up goals, started keeping better track of your days and how you spend them. Maybe even counted them so you can give yourself a confidence boost here and there. That's cool, but today , we stop counting days. If you truly. Want to change your life , it shouldn't be something you need to track. Just remember the day you decided to change your life. Other than that, it's a number. Live your number, I promise I know how long I've been working on myself from how I feel. It's been almost a month of my life being changed and I feel like I spent 26 years being average and that one month of being great only gets me a step closer to the human I want to be. What that means to me is that I still have years to go to be the best me. I honestly feel like I will never cease improvement the rest of my life. I am completely ok with that. With that being said , everyday should be an improvement from the last. I don't care what day it is, I'm going to make myself better than I was yesterday. I will be a better friend, a better son, a better worker, a better father to my puppy (youker), and just a better human overall.
I challenge you guys not to count the days, not to obsessively track every little thing, but to truly focus on change. My weight has been all over the place this weekend and i know i wasn't eating anything crazy and that it's just how it works and I'm not worried about it all. I look forward to the work week even though it's a day shorter. Looking to do 4 gym sessions and 5 extended walks. I really want to challenge myself in the healthiest ways possible. Let's all challenge ourselves to be better.
Enjoy your wonderful weeks my friends!!
